Douglas County 4-H4H Logo

4-H is delivered by Colorado State University Extension, a community of more than 100 public universities across the nation that provides experiences where today’s youth learn by doing. For more than 100 years, 4-H has welcomed youth of all beliefs and backgrounds, giving kids a voice to express who they are and how they make their lives and communities better. Through life-changing 4-H programs, nearly six million kids have taken on critical societal issues, such as addressing community health inequities, engaging in civil discourse and advocating for equity and inclusion for all.

Douglas County 4-H Foundation

The mission statement of the Douglas County 4-H Foundation is comprised of community leaders working collectively to obtain funding sources that provide Douglas County 4-H members academic scholarship opportunities, financial grants for educational experiences and learning opportunities that prepare them for their future. This also enables our 4-H members to excel in their projects, develop life skills, contribute to their community and grow into valuable young adults.

The vision of the Douglas County 4-H Foundation is to generate and distribute resources to support programs that increase achievement, foster lifelong learning, develop citizenship and provide Douglas County 4-H youth opportunities to become contributing citizens.

We have scholarship opportunities for long term, in good standing Douglas County 4-H club members who plan to attend accredited four year colleges or universities, two year Jr. colleges and trade schools.

FFAFFA Logo

The National FFA Organization or FFA, as it is more commonly known is a premier student leadership  organization for middle school and high school students. The letters FFA are a part of our history and our  heritage harkening back to the early 1900’s. The organization has evolved over the years but has stayed true to the precepts of personal growth, career success and premier leadership. FFA welcomes members and teaches skills to students who aspire to careers not only in agriculture, but also as teachers, doctors, scientists, business owners and more.

Douglas County FFA remains committed to each individual student in guiding them and helping them achieve their personal goals. As a Chapter, we focus on the FFA model of “Learning to Do, Doing to Learn, Earning to Live, Living to Serve”. We also encourage members to get involved in Leadership Development Events and Career Development Events which offers students the opportunity to compete in events that relate to possible future careers or interests.
