Who can enter creative arts open division contests?

These contests are open to exhibitors of all ages, living in any area. Age categories are as of August 1st of the current year:

Youth – Grades K-12 and up to 18 years old
Adults -19 years of age and older
Senior Citizens – 55 years and older.

Classes are open to both amateurs and professionals.

I’m military or a first responder, how do I get a free ticket to the rodeo?

On August 2, our Patriot Night ProRodeo and/or Grounds Admission offers a free ticket to verified active duty and retired military personnel (while supplies last).

On August 4, our Cowboys for Cops Pro Rodeo offers a free ticket to all verified first responders (while supplies last)

To receive a free ticket:

  1. Follow the link below, you will be redirected to GovX – a secure online verification system for military and first responders
  2. Follow the verification process on the GovX website to receive a promo code for one free ticket
  3. Copy your promo code and then select the black button: Use Your Code
  4. You will be redirected to our official ticketing provider, Afton Tickets
  5. Select your seats (if you are buying additional tickets; select all seats at this time)
  6. The next screen, enter your promo code from GovX and push the green apply button. You will see the discount displayed
  7. Complete the transaction process

What should my child wear to participate in Mutton Bustin?

Long-sleeved shirts and pants are required. Boots or tennis shoes, NO SANDALS or open-toed shoes allowed. Riders will be weighed in what they wear to ride. A safety vest & helmet are provided and must be worn by the rider. No spurs and riders must ride forward.

What ages can participate in Mutton Bustin?

Mutton Bustin’ is open to kids aged 5-7. Rider must be under 50 lbs. wearing the clothes and footwear they will ride in. Weigh-ins take place at registration.

Can I bring my pet?

Animals are not allowed on the Fairgrounds during County Fair except for those that are competing or performing during the Fair. Owners / Handlers must keep animals under constant control. Dogs and other pets ARE NOT allowed into any of the livestock barns, Kirk Hall, Midway, or the James R. Sullivan Events Center.
Under the ADA regulations, assistance animals are allowed.
